Done, doing, and going to do. As in past, present, and future. Read, reading, and going to read. Yup, It’s Wednesday, again. Let’s see, I did get some things read this week. Some really good things, too.

I finished listening to Three Mages and a Margarita: The Guild Codex: Spellbound Book #1 by Annette Marie, read by Chris Dukehart and thoroughly enjoyed it. Enough to have started with the second book in the series, Dark Arts and a Daiquiri. This is an interesting and fun series for fantasy fanatics. I haven’t written a review yet, but it’s upcoming. I also read Wicked on the Beach by Lotta Smith. It’s been a while since I read one and there are several I haven’t read between my last one and this one. The last one I read I believe Mandy was newly pregnant and in this one, the baby is about a year or so old. This was fun but didn’t seem as involved as the past Wicked books I’ve read. Maybe I should go back and catch up on the missed books and see if that changes the way I feel. I also read Basket Case (Silver Six Crafting Mystery Book One) by

Nancy Haddock. This was a rather fun cozy mystery, I thought. It involves a young gal, her elder aunt and her five senior housemates, plus an attractive policeman. I’ll be writing the review for that one soon, too.

I reread Haunted (Six Degrees, Book 3) by R. Kitt so I could read Gate of Shadows (Six Degrees, Book 4) better. It had been some time since I read Haunted and I wanted to refresh my memory before reading the new book in the series. If you haven’t read any of this little series by Ms. Kitt and like paranormal stuff, by all means try this. This is like no other series I’ve read so far. This little lady has a fantastic imagination and writes some wonderful stories. Each book is short, novella length, but with six intended for the series, it should be quite amazing by the end. I don’t think I ever reviewed Haunted, so I’ll probably review both books very soon.

As for what I’ve got on tap, let’s see. I have to finish the Guild Codex on Audible, then I think I’d like to listen to Tangled in Time by Barbara Langley, narrated by K.C. Sheridan. A change from the paranormal cozy mysteries.

I have a long list for my TBR, so I’ll just pull out a couple of them that interest me right now. I’m part way through Cappuccinos, Cupcakes and a Corpse (A Cape Bay Cafe Mystery #1) by Harper Lin. This is interesting and I will probably read a couple more of this series since it’s such light reading. The characters are fun and easy to like. So far, the mystery seems pretty good, too. I’m about halfway through the book. I’d like to get to The Four Sworn: Spring Equinox by Lenore Sagaskie this week, too. And another book I’d like to get to soon is The Little French Bistro by Nina George. I’ve had this for a while, but haven’t had a chance to read it, yet. Maybe this week.
